Laparoscopy
Laparoscopy provides cutting edge diagnostic and surgical capabilities. This equipment allows us see the upper airway, nasal passages, and inside the ear using a special camera. Visualization of these locations can be limited using traditional methods, however the laparoscopic equipment provides easy access to see these challenging regions of the body.
Laparoscopic surgery provides excellent visualization of the abdominal cavity through a minimally invasive technique. We are able to perform ovariectomies (spay) and obtain biopsies through two 5 mm incisions. The incision made with the laparoscopic assisted gastropexy is smaller than the traditional incision. Laparoscopic surgery is associated with less pain, a more rapid surgical recovery time and a decreased risk of complications from bleeding.
